Operational Engineering and Electrical Engineering
This Scheme is still OPEN for applications for our 2008 intake.
The plant is as advanced as anything in industry today. Processing is continuous. And every second of downtime costs money... big money. Could you deliver in this highly pressurised atmosphere? Could you lead our technical teams effectively? Could you implement the best solution immediately? Could you anticipate problems before they happen?
OPERATIONAL ENGINEERING
These are crucial questions that you will face as one of our Operations Trainees. And the success of our business will depend on your answers. It's about drawing on your knowledge of chemistry or engineering to continuously improve processes and introduce new technology whilst keeping existing sites running as smoothly and efficiently as possible. In the second year of the scheme, you will be looking after your own shift and managing the whole process… a huge responsibility.
The operations management development scheme will build on your core engineering or scientific skills learnt at university. The scheme is factory-based and offers a job with real management team exposure from day one, involvement in the full production lifecycle – including factory start-up, supply chain, distribution and the commercial function – and a chance to play a high-profile role in our business.
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
Our plant is as advanced as anything in industry today. Processing is continuous. And every second of downtime costs money... big money. Could you deliver in this highly pressurised atmosphere? Could you develop Electrical Engineering to deliver value to our business? Could you implement the best solution immediately? Could you anticipate problems before they happen?
These are crucial questions that you will face as one of our Electrical Engineering Trainees. And the success of our business will depend on your answers. It's about drawing on your knowledge of Electrical Engineering to continuously improve and introduce new technology to optimise our 75MW CHP stations, our extensive distribution High/Low Voltage networks and to reduce our on-site electricity usage... a hugh responsibility.
We have an excellent structured graduate development scheme where the focus is on your development. You will be able to utilise a Mentor, Coach and Buddy as well as having direct access to senior managers to ensure you develop at your pace. Our industry is evolving quicker now than at anytime in the past. Are you ambitious enough to deliver against this back drop?
From the outset you will be actively involved in understanding, supporting and working on real projects in the business. Usually within 18 months you will be driving through strategic based initiatives.
The role will not tie you to our Head Quarters, you will be expected to get involved with Operational and Improvement Activities.
